Friends of Hyalite is looking forward to another summer of working with volunteers to care for Hyalite!

Join us after work on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, June through September. We will be cleaning up areas that received heavy use during the winter, and removing defunct barbed wire fence in the Lick Creek area. To comply with current covid-related restrictions, volunteers must sign up in advance.

  • June 9 - Chisolm trailhead/picnic area clean up. Meet at Chisolm trailhead (the big parking lot at the “Y” junction) at 6pm. MAP

  • July 14 - Buckskin Gulch fence pulling and/or Grotto parking lot cleanup (we will do both if we have a large group of volunteers). Meet at the Moser parking lot (the parking area to the right just after you turn onto the Moser road) at 6pm.

  • August 11 - Lick Creek fence pulling. Meet at Lick Creek trailhead

    at 6pm.

  • September 8 - Lick Creek fence pulling. Meet at Lick Creek trailhead at 6pm.

Please bring your own gloves, snacks, and water. Friends of Hyalite and the Forest Service will supply the necessary tools. Wear work pants and boots and bring layers as necessary for the weather that day! We will meet at 6pm and work until dusk.
