Rock Climbing

Practice Rock provides the highest concentration of quality rock climbing in Hyalite Canyon. This large gneiss block contains several sport and traditional routes ranging from toproping opportunities for beginners to difficult lead routes. Located low in the Canyon, Practice Rock is one of the easiest to access crags in the Bozeman area. Other Hyalite crags include Crocodile Rock, Head Wall, and Magic Wall.
