2019 Spring Clean Up Day

Join Friends of Hyalite this Saturday, May 11 for our annual Spring Cleanup Day!

We are meeting at noon at the gate/large parking area at the bottom of Hyalite Canyon. From there the Forest Service will let everybody through the gate and we will carpool up the road and spread out to clean up a variety of areas throughout Hyalite. We'll mostly be picking up trash, cleaning out fire rings, and cleaning up pallet fire debris. The Cleanup Day will wrap up around 4:00 with a volunteer appreciation picnic sponsored by Schnee's and Outlaw Brewing. Friends of Hyalite and the Forest Service will provide tools, garbage bags, and work gloves, but we encourage people to bring their own work gloves if they have them. Dress appropriately for a day outside in the mountains. Remember, it's still snowy in Hyalite!
