Lend a Hand: Spring Cleanup Day! Saturday June 3rd

Twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, Friends of Hyalite hosts our bi-annual clean up days and we need YOUR help. Every single person who joins us helps make the job easier, and helps our mission. A few projects we often take on:
Cleaning up high-trafficked areas including the day use parking lot, pavilion, shoreline and popular dispersed campsites.
Pick up trash, clean up fire rings, clean up palette fires and nails.
Sweeping up parking lots where fires have been burned.
Restore picnic benches and painting and cleaning signage.
ALL of these little jobs are extremely important in keeping Hyalite Canyon clean, just in time for its busy summer season. It’s a great way to meet new people and enjoy the canyon while it’s still quiet! Mark your calendars for now, and we'll provide more information as we get closer - May will be here before we know it!
